TuriCom

The specific objective of Project TuriCom is to help the tourist communities of Peru, Ecuador and Colombia to improve their sustainable livelihoods through a common model of governance and commercialization.

The activities of the projects are coordinated by a group of non-profit organisations: Kate Ecology and Development, TourCert Ecuador y Perú, ViSocial Foundation and Centro Bartolomé de las Casas CBC. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) provides financial support for this commitment. The project revolves around indigenous communities from Ecuador, Peru and Colombia.

Since 2018 the project has implemented, developed and created educational programs, a more sustainable model of governance within the communities’ part of the project and new synergies between the public bodies, civil society organizations and all stakeholders.
